Meet the Clinicians - Stephanie Z Mikulec

Hello, I’m Stephanie! The journey that led me to become a Licensed Professional Counselor was not exactly typical. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree, I decided to take a gamble on chasing my childhood dream of becoming a funeral director and embalmer. That experience provided me with a unique perspective on life and loss. Eventually, it led me back to graduate school, where I could learn how to help others work through their grief professionally.

Grief shaped my own life at a young age, and that personal experience fuels my empathy and dedication to supporting children and families who are facing similar losses. Along with grief counseling, I also help clients manage anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I especially enjoy working with young adults, supporting them as they transition into adulthood and develop the skills necessary to thrive.
