Kristin Shulman, LISW-CP
Hello - I'm Kristin, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Entering into therapy can be scary, but here's the deal - working through scary is where growth occurs! If you feel stuck, lost, struggling with change, afraid, or unsure of the next step, I hope you will give counseling a try. My role as a therapist is not to fix your feelings but to hold your discomfort, distress, and fears in safe, caring hands. We will work together to find new ways to conquer your problems, heal old wounds and move you into a safe place where you can grow.
Through my personal and professional experience, I am comfortable working with multiple issues and stressors that affect all of us at some time in our lives. I have worked with chronic illness, depression, anxiety, trauma, life transition, loss, and its many forms, codependence, eating disorders, and pre and post-bariatric clients.
I draw from various methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. I am warm, open, direct, and encouraging as a therapist. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth approach to our work.
Regardless of your situation, your past and present challenges, we can work together so you can live a more satisfying life.
